THE BRIDGESTONE AMERICAS "THINK BEFORE YOU DRIVE" MONTHLY DRAWING IS OFFERED ONLY IN THE 50 UNITED STATES AND DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA ("U.S.") AND CANADA (EXCLUDING QUEBEC PROVINCE) BY BRIDGESTONE AMERICAS TIRE OPERATIONS, LLC ("SPONSOR") TO PROMOTE ITS ONGOING COMMITMENT TO DRIVER SAFETY AND EDUCATION. DRAWING BEGINS 6/30/08 AND WILL TAKE PLACE THE LAST BUSINESS DAY OF EACH SUBSEQUENT MONTH ("DRAWING PERIOD") UNTIL SUCH TIME THAT SPONSOR POSTS NOTICE ON THE WEB SITE OF TERMINATION OF FUTURE MONTHLY DRAWINGS.
ELIGIBILITY. Drawing is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and District of Columbia ("U.S.) and Canada (excluding Quebec Province), aged 16 or older, with a valid driver's license. Drawing is void where prohibited.
ENTRY. Entry in the drawing is available only at www.ThinkBeforeYouDrive.org. Entry requires entrants to complete a 10-question quiz related to tire and automotive safety. Entrants must click "submit score" button to be automatically entered into a monthly drawing to win one of five US$100 gas cards. To enter, access the Web site during the Drawing Period, complete the quiz as directed and submit it as directed. Entry must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Time the day before the last business day of the month to be eligible for that month's drawing. The entrant's score does not affect the chance to win a prize. Limit of one entry per household. Entries become the property of Sponsor and will be neither acknowledged nor returned.
SELECTION. All submitted entries will be directed to a database that is monitored by the sponsor. The entries will receive a designated ID number. Names and e-mail addresses of entrants will not be disclosed to the sponsor. Through a random selection process using an independent third-party software provider, five winners per month will be selected. Entries not selected in a Monthly Drawing will not be retained for future drawings.
PRIZES. The winners will each receive a US$100 gas card.
PRIZE RESTRICTIONS. Prize may not be transferred. No cash or other substitution may be given for a prize except Sponsor reserves right in its sole discretion to make a substitution, in whole or in part, for a prize of comparable or greater value. Gas cards are subject to terms of use of issuer. Winners are responsible for all taxes on a prize and any expenses not specified relating to the acceptance and use of a prize. Canadian winners will receive a gas card for a substantially equivalent amount in Canadian currency.
WINNER NOTIFICATION. Winners will be notified by a traceable form of delivery and e-mail or telephone. Each will be required to provide within a specified time period a photocopy of valid driver's license, a completed and signed Declaration of Eligibility and Liability Release and (except where prohibited) a Publicity Release and, as determined by Sponsor, an assignment or license to Sponsor of all rights of ownership and copyright to the submitted quiz and a consent to the use by Sponsor of the quiz, in whole or in part and as edited by Sponsor, in all media for educational, commercial and other uses without additional compensation or prior review. Failure to timely return the required documents or the return of any notification as undeliverable will cause selection to be void and an alternate selected. If a finalist is not of the age of majority (a "minor") in state, province or territory of residence, all documents must be confirmed, ratified and signed by finalist's parent or legal guardian. If the winner is determined not to be eligible, sponsor will randomly select another winner through the same process. Canadian winner, as a condition of prize award, will be required to timely and correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. Failure to do so will cause prize to be forfeited and an alternate winner selected.
CONDITIONS OF ENTRY. By participating, entrants (and if a minor, his or her parent or legal guardian) (a) agree to these official rules and the decisions of the judges and the Sponsor and its agents, which decisions shall be final in all respects; (b) release, indemnify and hold harmless Bridgestone Americas Tire Operations, LLC, its parent and affiliated companies, Public Strategies, Inc., and their respective directors, officers and employees from any and all claims, liabilities, losses or damages of any kind whatsoever, including but not limited to the infringement of intellectual property rights of others, resulting in whole or in part from their participation in the contest and the acceptance and use of the prize; and (c) if a winner, consent (except where prohibited by law) to the use of their name, likeness and location for advertising and publicity purposes by Sponsor, in its sole discretion, of its products and services and for promotion of driving safety. Participants agree that (a) Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for late, lost or misdirected entries or mail, or for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure of Sponsor and its agents to receive entries for any reason whatsoever. In the event Sponsor determines that the integrity of the Drawing has been impaired or corrupted for any reason and as a result cannot be offered or completed as planned, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel or terminate the Drawing and to select winners from among eligible entrants legitimately received prior to the event causing cancellation or termination; and notice of cancellation will be posted at www.ThinkBeforeYouDrive.org. The Drawing shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of Tennessee, U.S.A.; and any legal action concerning the Drawing shall be brought only in a state or federal court located in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A.
WINNERS' LIST. Names of the winners will be posted on www.ThinkBeforeYouDrive.org on a monthly basis after 6/30/08.
